My drive to establish Occupational Therapy Plus Animal Assisted Therapy came from a recognition while working for large companies that I was unable to always deliver interventions on a level which was suited to the individual or that was client centred. I wanted to be able to provide a service for children to the elderly which was flexible and encompassed my values and level of care. I wanted to give more and to work together with my clients to optimise the results we could achieve in a more collaborative manner. My passion for animals, dogs in particular, has been lifelong and I believe that the addition of an animal in therapy provides a more meaningful interaction to the activities and a more positive addition to the program. The human/animal bond can be very powerful and provide comfort, happiness and companionship. I'm here for you and that is the difference.
